Non-profit organization and Swiss government-funded project endeavor to improve Albanian youths’ employability skills and help meet global demand for IT professionals.
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) April 28, 2015
Almooc, a non-profit organization that offers online IT education to Albanians, has partnered with RisiAlbania, a project funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Albania designed to improve employment prospects for Albanian youth. The two organizations are combining efforts to revive the local economy by training Albanian youth with strong information technology skill-sets and preparing them for outsourced working opportunities with Western nations.
Almooc courses are hosted by EDUonGo, an award winning eLearning platform that hosts online academies. Taught by industry experts from the U.S. and European Union, courses focus on building professional skills through project-based learning and the curriculum is derived from educational resources in U.S. schools.
“Almooc brings cutting edge technology knowledge to Albania and presents it in a way that allows IT professionals to learn at their own pace,” says Andi Stefanllari, intervention manager at RisiAlbania. “Whether you’re an IT professional or aspiring to be one, Almooc is a great way to jumpstart your IT career. The platform even allows other Albanian training providers to publicize their courses in their system and serves as an example for making training more easily accessible.”
Both organizations are confident that Almooc’s curriculum will train students with the skills necessary to meet international demand for IT professionals. Of the 48 IT courses Almooc is set to launch, 10 of the courses will be sponsored by RisiAlbania and will cover a wide range of technical and business skills.
“Partnering with an organization funded by the Swiss Embassy in Albania is an immense honor,” says Ridvan Aliu, CEO EDUonGo. “RisiAlbania is a respected project and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to join efforts to bring growth to Albania.”
